International Police Co-operation and European Integration Department has been established, while the previous Department for analytical-informational and documentation affairs was re-organized to Department for Planning, Development and Analytics. [Information on OSCE - Police of Montenegro Campaigns as one concrete example of Partnership with International Organisation] Internal Control, as a separate investigative unit, is organized in such a manner that within it counterintelligence protection is provided and work of police officers surveillance is done on all accounts. As the transparency of work and the role of public service is police strategic interest, so as the establishing of the mutual confidence between citizens and police, Police Directorate has organized ‘'community policing'' in accordance with the international standards. For direct realization of police tasks, instead of 7 security centers (which existed till now), new eight regional units have been formed (Podgorica, Niksic, Bar, Budva, Herceg Novi, Bijelo Polje, Pljevlja and Berane), and instead of 14 security departments, new 13 outposts have been established. |
