SEPCA-RCC Bled Process Conference, Sarajevo 1st and 2nd July 2010 Invitation Letter In particular, the 3rd and the 4th Bled Conference gave clear guidance to the participating countries to develop National Action Plans (NAP) on Defeating Stolen Vehicle Crime in South Eastern Europe. The NAPs include the national cooperation of state authorities such as Police, Border Police, Tax authorities, Registration offices and additionally, private economy such as insurance companies. During the 4th Bled Conference conclusions were adopted that RCC should call for the 5th Bled Conference on Stolen Vehicle Crime and, with its capacities, further monitor the NAP implementation, building cooperation with the twinning partners and SEPCA as the peer review body of the process. Following RCC Statutory obligation to provide guidance to and receive substantive input from relevant task forces and initiatives active in specific thematic areas of co-operation as well as role of the Secretariat to act, through the network of its Expert Pool as a coordination framework for regional cooperation activities in South East Europe, underling economic consequences of the Stolen Vehicle Crime, it is of particular importance for all participating members from the region to show their achievements in suppressing this type of crime and to prepare necessary preconditions for closing of the Bled Process in 2011. |
